  • Splenectomy

Splenectomy is the surgical removal of spleen, a large organ located in the upper left part of the stomach that contains macrophages, specialized cells that fight against the foreign bodies. Splenectomy is indicated in splenomegaly, a condition of enlarged spleen. Patients with splenomegaly may or may not exhibit the symptoms and will be diagnosed by the physicians by physical examination or radiological diagnosis. The common symptoms include abdominal pain, hiccups, unable to have a large meal, weakness, fatigue, frequent infections, and severe bleeding.

  • Pancreatic Surgery

The pancreas is a vital gland, located behind the stomach just below the liver. It produces several digestive enzymes and also plays a vital role in maintaining blood glucose levels. The pancreas is both an exocrine and an endocrine gland. The exocrine part produces enzymes that help in digestion and absorption of nutrients from food. The endocrine part of the pancreas secretes hormones involved in the metabolism of sugar and maintenance of blood sugar levels. Any disease or injury to the pancreas may cause several problems. Pancreatic surgery comprises of a wide range of surgical procedures.

  • Liver Surgery

Laparoscopic liver resection or laparoscopic hepatectomy is a minimally invasive surgery to remove a part of the liver or the whole liver. A laparoscope is a thin fibre-optic device fitted with a camera and lens. Images from the camera are transmitted to a large monitor for your doctor to view the inside of your body.

  • Adrenal Surgery

Adrenal surgery involves the removal of one or both adrenal glands. The adrenal glands are paired endocrine glands located above each kidney. The surgical procedure of adrenal gland removal is known as an adrenalectomy. Adrenalectomy can be performed either with laparoscopic technique or open surgery.
